Blackheath Village Society Constitution (17 January 2008)

The objects of the Society is to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Blackheath and the neighbourhood in a common effort to advance education and provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for local residents.

To assist the trustees of Blackheath Village Hall to maintain and manage the Village Hall for the activities promoted in the furtherance of the above objects.

The society is non party in politics and non secretarian in religion.

Membership is open to all individuals and organisations in the area of benefit.

Individuals under the age of 18 shall not be entitled to vote and each member organisation will consist of two or more persons. All members are required to register his or her name and address in the Register of Members which will be maintained by the Secretary of the society. Membership is free.

All monies raised by or on behalf of the society shall be applied to further the objects of the society and for no other purpose.
