A Very Special Jazz night 14th March 7.30pm Blackheath Village Cricket Club

Updated: Feb 19

The Blackheath Village Society and Blackheath Village Cricket Club invite you to a truly special evening of live jazz.

We are delighted to offer a rare opportunity to experience two internationally acclaimed jazz artists in an intimate warm-up performance at our own Tangley Pavilion, ahead of their sell-out summer tour.

Simon Bates (saxophone) and Harry “The Piano” Harris are artists of exceptional distinction. Uniquely, they have headlined both major Jazz and Classical festivals - a remarkable achievement - and have performed for royalty, leading global companies, and on national television and radio, including long-standing residencies on Channel 4 and BBC One.

Throughout their careers they have recorded and performed with an extraordinary range of artists including Van Morrison, David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Rick Astley, Lulu, Chaka Khan, Seal, Kylie Minogue, John Dankworth and Cleo Laine.

On Saturday March 14 at 7:30pm, they will bring their artistry to Blackheath, joined by additional musicians, for an evening of popular jazz performed at the highest level.

From the Palace to our Cricket Club may sound improbable — but for one night, it becomes reality. The bar will be open and complimentary canapés will be served throughout the evening. Capacity is limited, and we expect strong demand for this unique event, so early booking is strongly recommended.
