Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D216 Sample Oak Lane, Chilworth and Blackheath.
This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to access the overhead network to make a new customer connection and/or to carry out cabling and/or installation and/or maintenance works in the length of D216 Sample Oak Lane between the south-western property boundary of “Rosemary Hill” at the junction with D211 Blackheath Lane and D216 Littleford Lane, and the north-western property boundary of “Sample Oak”.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 13:30pm, within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 March 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives. Alternative route: - Sample Oak Lane, Blackheath Lane, New Road, Dorking Road and Sample Oak Lane.
